What do eclipses mean?
The Sun is our consciousness, the idea, the meaning of existence
The Moon is the subconscious, the soul that strives to realize the solar meaning.
Solar eclipse
A solar eclipse can only occur during a new moon, when the Moon is not visible and its power is completely absorbed by the Sun. At the moment of a solar eclipse the Moon blocks the Sun, that is, it hides its light for us, but at the same time we also do not see the light of the Moon. Thus, symbolically our consciousness is closed by subconsciousness, which itself is also weakly manifested. At this time much remains unclear, uncertain. Plans, ideas, goals – set by the consciousness – are not supported by intuition, feelings, instincts. So, this is the moment of our weakness, but it is also the beginning of strength, because after darkness always comes light. We just have to wait a little longer.
Lunar eclipse
The Moon has no light of its own, but it does reflect the light of the Sun. The further the Moon moves away from the Sun, the later it rises, the more it is visible to us, the brighter it shines, the more independent it feels. At full moon, the Moon seems to forget that its light is only a reflection of the Sun. We do the same: closer to the full moon, our subconscious reactions become much stronger than the work of consciousness. At this time we can suddenly “see” the solution to a problem, feel the right way out. And during a lunar eclipse (which occurs only during a full moon), the effect of the subconscious prevailing is quite different. During an eclipse, the full Moon remains visible, as the Sun continues to illuminate it, but the Earth’s shadow falls on it. That is, at this time the subconscious remains strong, but the instincts do not fully reveal themselves, and our shadow sides often appear. So it turns out that a lunar eclipse is the “shadow of the bright subconscious.” During a lunar eclipse we can also suddenly receive the necessary information, but it can be used or presented extremely aggressively, as if crossing the boundaries of what is permitted.
The eclipse corridor
Eclipses always occur in pairs or triples, and the period between lunar and solar eclipses is called the eclipse corridor. If there are two eclipses in a period, the corridor will last two weeks, and if there are three eclipses, it will last a month.
In the corridor of eclipses, events occur that we can rarely influence, or it is at this time that we create situations that seriously affect destiny later on.
If the corridor begins with a solar eclipse, a new cycle of events that will have an impact on the future is set in motion. In the corridor from solar to lunar eclipse, previously unknown facts become evident, contributing to the revelation and development of future situations. If the corridor begins with a lunar eclipse, it often carries the completion of previous long-standing situations, offering us the opportunity to close old chapters.

Who is affected by the period of eclipses?
The eclipse period is not the same for everyone. For some, it passes peacefully, while others make the most significant changes in their lives. This largely depends on the individual horoscope and personal behavior during the eclipse period. The eclipse period can bring meaningful changes and shifts for those whose important planets and points in the natal chart are activated by the eclipse points. Therefore, if you are going to make any important decisions during this time, it is better to clarify to what extent this period of eclipses might either hinder or support the desired changes at the consultation with an astrologer. In addition, each eclipse has its own “character”, which is formed not only by the degree (i.e., the place on the Zodiac circle) in which the eclipse occurs, but also by the position of other planets at the time of the eclipse.
What to do during eclipses?
So, during the eclipse period it is very important to calm the mind, because endless turmoil leads to wrong decisions, and in the period of eclipses mistakes can have long-lasting consequences. The repercussions of our actions may still be felt 18 years later. However, if you are confident in your decision, if you know that your actions cannot cause harm, you can and should act. The easiest way to test your decision is by asking yourself the following questions:
- do I want to be doing this for the next 18 years?
- do I know all the possible consequences of this move?
There is a beauty in the fatality of the eclipse period. If something or someone leaves our lives at this time, it means it was meant to be. If something happens not by our will, it means that it is right. We can trust what is happening, accept everything that happens, including our own mistakes.
In addition to fatality, eclipses also bring a surge of uncontrolled emotions and unconscious decisions. During a lunar eclipse, there is an increase in mental disorders, nervous breakdowns, hormonal imbalances, and heightened emotional activity. People become more easily provoked into conflicts, prone to uncontrollable outbursts of aggression or overwhelming fear.
To avoid such provocations, you should prepare for the lunar eclipse in advance: clean the house, throw away unnecessary things, clean everything around you and preen yourself. By cleaning, we clean not only our environment, but also our attachment to this environment – we get rid of our favorite sore spots.
It is also good to fast or at least limit the consumption of heavy food on the day of the eclipse and the day before. In this way we cleanse our inner space and do not allow excessive things to stick to us. It is a good time to cleanse both body and soul.
IMPORTANT: do not exaggerate the significance of the eclipse, or be afraid to leave the house or make any necessary decisions. It is just important to realize that during the period of eclipses we encounter especially meaningful situations, people and environment. It’s a time to listen closely to both the world around you and to your inner self — so that the choices you make won’t be a source of regret or shame later on.
